Edit from Shopify
How to use Edit from Shopify
If you, or members of your team, are used to Shopify’s interface, or have some software connected to your Shopify that make edits to your products, or simply want to make Shopify your lead channel, we have a solution.
You can set Nembol to receive changes done in Shopify to your product content, and to share those edits to your other connected channels. Of course, those for which you have the “Edit from Nembol” ON, as seen in the previous chapter of this same article.
Note that Edit from Shopify does not currently work on pictures: you have to edit pictures in Nembol to share edits on multiple channels.
Using Edit from Shopify is optional for Nembol users, and we advice to turn it ON only if you wish to use Shopify as your central hub. Otherwise, turn ON and use “Edit from Nembol” to centrally update your products across your multiple connected channels. Please test both with a couple of trial products in your real business environment
Following steps will get you started:
- Go to Channels tab
- Click on Settings (the gear icon) next to the Shopify channel.
- Turn “Edit from Shopify” ON.
- Save changes.
- Click on Settings in your other channel or channels.
- Turn the “Edit from Nembol” ON if you wish to share the changes you will do in Shopify.
- Turn the “Edit from Nembol” OFF if you wish to not share the changes you will do in Shopify.
- Save changes.
- Go into your Shopify backend, edit a test product and save it.
- Within mere seconds, Nembol will take care that the changes you made:
• Will update the corresponding products in the channels you included;
• Will not update the corresponding product in channels you excluded. - Once you are happy with the result of your test product, proceed with more products as needed.
