The video below demonstrates how to use the CSV file downloadable from Nembol as a tool for bulk mass editing.

There are two ways to edit your products with a CSV file, described below:

  • Full edit, which can change any product information.
  • Light edit, which changes only your inventory data.

Full CSV edit: change any product information

A full CSV edit can change any field on your products: titles and descriptions, prices, quantities, SKUs, barcodes, images, tags, variations, weight and dimensions.

To bulk edit your products using a CSV file, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Products tab.
  2. Select the products you wish to edit in bulk.
  3. Export the selected products by clicking on Export > Export CSV file. This generates a CSV file ready for editing.
  4. Open the downloaded CSV file in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or your preferred spreadsheet program.
  5. Make your changes to the product details. Do not change the column titles.
  6. Save the updated CSV file.
  7. Return to Nembol and import your modified CSV file from Products > Import > Import CSV file. Your products are updated accordingly.

CSV Light Edit: update inventory data only

Nembol allows you to exactly and specifically update values of just the four “inventory” data of your products:

  • quantity
  • price
  • barcode
  • asin

These fields will be edited by the system matching them by sku-code, and SKUs not included will rest untouched by your edit. An important guarantee for many sys-admin of brands editing products daily or even multiple times a day.

To access this feature, you can use your own CSV or download our template. Any file will work with minimum two columns:

  • sku-code — which is the required column, the key for the system to recognize items to be edited.
  • At least one of quantity, price, barcode, asin. From just one to all four according to what you want to edit.

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Fill the “sku-code” column with the SKU code you want to update. Nembol will match products using the SKU code.
  2. Add the field you want to update (quantity, price, barcode, and / or ASIN) and type in the new values. Update only the columns you want to change, leave other fields blank. Blank fields will not overwrite existing information in Nembol.
  3. If your file by chance includes additional columns, you can delete them or leave them: Nembol will ignore them, no worries.

Note: This function cannot edit SKU codes nor delete products from Nembol. Use CSV full template for this. 

CSV light edit is available starting from the Enterprise plan.
