Inventory sync

What is inventory sync?

Inventory sync — also called stock or quantity sync — keeps the available quantity of each product aligned across all the channels you sell on. When a product’s stock changes on one channel, because it sold or because you edited the quantity, Nembol updates its central inventory and automatically pushes the new quantity out to every other connected channel.

In short: one product, one stock level, kept in step everywhere you sell — without updating each channel by hand.

Why sellers need inventory sync

If you sell the same products on more than one channel — for example a Shopify store plus eBay, Etsy, or Amazon — each channel keeps its own separate stock count. Without something connecting them, those counts drift apart the moment anything sells.

That creates two costly problems:

  • Overselling. An item sells on eBay but its stock stays untouched on Etsy and Amazon, so you keep selling something you no longer have. The result is cancellations, refunds, unhappy buyers, and marketplace penalties or account defects.
  • Wasted time and lost sales. Updating quantities by hand on every channel after each sale is slow and error-prone. To stay safe, many sellers hold back stock or list on fewer channels — leaving sales on the table.

The more channels and SKUs you manage, the faster this gets out of hand.

Why use Nembol to sync your inventory

Nembol solves this by acting as the single source of truth for your stock and keeping every channel in line for you:

  • Prevents overselling. A sale on any connected channel instantly reduces the quantity everywhere else, so you never sell stock you don’t have.
  • Fully automatic. Nembol updates inventory both when an order is received and when you edit stock directly on a supported channel — no manual updates needed.
  • Truly multichannel. It works across the marketplaces and stores Nembol supports, including Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, Etsy, Amazon, and more.
  • Centralized control. Manage all your quantities from one place, and choose which channels are allowed to update your central stock.
  • Sell more, with confidence. With overselling off the table, you can safely list your full inventory on every channel and grow without the busywork.
