Push updates to channels
Nembol allows you to centrally manage and update your product content across connected channels.
With Push updates to channels enabled, changes made in Nembol are automatically sent to selected channels.
You can update:
- Titles
- Descriptions
- Gallery images
- Variant images (according to each channel’s rules)
- Prices
- SKU codes
- GTIN codes (UPC, EAN, ISBN, ASIN, etc.)
- Tags
- Variations
- Weight and dimensions
Stock quantity is handled separately through inventory sync settings.
Please note: Stock quantity is always pushed to all connected channels and cannot be excluded.
Push updates to channels ON
Enable Push updates to channels for the channels that should receive product updates from Nembol.
How to enable it
- Open the Channels tab
- Click Sync settings
- Go to Push updates to channels
- Select the channels that should receive updates from Nembol
- Open the Products tab
- Edit your products
- Click Save & Publish
- Nembol will automatically send the updated content to selected channels.
Changes usually appear within a few seconds up to one minute, depending on the channel.
What triggers a product update in Nembol
A product can be updated in Nembol when:
- You edit the product directly in Nembol
- An order updates product quantity
- You import updates from Etsy
- You pull content changes from Shopify or WooCommerce
Please note: Nembol does not currently support images assigned to specific variants. If your channel uses variant-level images, enabling Push updates to channels may overwrite or remove those images on some marketplaces. To avoid this, keep Push updates to channels disabled for affected channels.
How to update already listed products
With the new Retry or Update feature, Nembol lets you:
- Update in an eye-blink the pricing rule for any given channel (before you had to trigger an edit for price-rules change to take effect)
- Relaunch instantly, after a fix, hundreds of listings that previously encountered errors (ideal after changes of business rules, for instance)
- Update from Nembol the whole of your product catalog, after switching ON the “Push updates to channels”.
- Enable the Push updates to channels option for your channel.
- Go to the Products tab.
- Select multiple products in bulk.
- Click on Actions and then choose Retry or Update.
Push updates to channels OFF
If Push updates to channels is disabled for a channel, edits made in Nembol will not update products in that channel.
How to disable it
- Open the Channels tab
- Click Sync settings
- Go to Push updates to channels
- Unselect the channels that should not receive updates from Nembol
- Open the Products tab and edit products inside Nembol
- Click Save & Publish
Only selected channels will receive the updates.
Pull content from a channel
Nembol can also receive product content updates from selected channels and redistribute them to other connected channels.
This feature is useful if your team prefers editing products directly in Shopify or WooCommerce.
Supported content includes:
- Titles
- Descriptions
- Images (also for the variants)
- Tags
- Product details
Stock quantity is not included here and is managed separately through stock sync settings.
Use Shopify as your content source
If your team already works mainly inside Shopify, you can use Shopify as the source of content edits for Nembol.
When enabled:
- Changes made in Shopify are imported into Nembol
- Nembol distributes those changes to other connected channels
- Only channels enabled under Push updates to channels receive the updates
Note: image sync from Shopify may not fully support variant-specific images.
Using Shopify as your content source is optional for Nembol users. We recommend enabling it only if you want Shopify to act as your main product management hub.
Otherwise, keep it disabled and use Push updates to channels to centrally manage and distribute product updates directly from Nembol across your connected channels.
How to enable it
- Open the Channels tab
- Click Sync settings
- Scroll to Pull content from a channel
- Enable Shopify
- Go to Push updates to channels
- Select which channels should receive Shopify updates
- Edit a test product in Shopify
- Save the product
Use WooCommerce as your content source
If your team prefers to work inside WooCommerce, and edit product content from there, you can use your Woo as the source of content edits for Nembol.
If your team already works mainly inside Shopify, you can use Shopify as the source of content edits for Nembol.
When enabled:
- Changes made in WooCommerce are imported into Nembol
- Nembol distributes those changes to other connected channels
- Only channels enabled under Push updates to channels receive the updates
How to enable it
- Open the Channels tab
- Click Sync settings
- Scroll to Pull content from a channel
- Enable WooCommerce
- Go to Push updates to channels
- Select which channels should receive Woo updates
- Edit a test product in WooCommerce
- Save the product
Use eBay as your content source
If you prefer managing your product content directly on eBay, you can use eBay as the source of content updates for Nembol.
This setup allows changes made on eBay to flow into Nembol and then be shared with your other connected channels.
When enabled:
- Changes made on eBay are imported into Nembol.
- Nembol propagates those changes to your connected channels.
- Only channels selected under Push updates to channels will receive the updates.
Please note that eBay doesn’t notify Nembol in real time. As a result, edits made on eBay can take up to 10 minutes to appear in Nembol and be distributed to other channels.
How to enable it
- Open the Channels tab
- Click Sync settings next to eBay
- Scroll to Pull content from a channel
- Enable eBay
- Go to Push updates to channels
- Select the channels that should receive eBay updates
- Edit a test listing on eBay
- Save your changes.
Once the update is detected, Nembol will import the revised content and synchronize it with the selected channels.
We recommend testing this workflow with a small number of products before applying it to your entire catalog.
Use Etsy as your content source
If Etsy is where you normally manage and update your listings, you can designate it as the source of content changes for Nembol.
With this configuration, updates made on Etsy can be brought into Nembol and then shared with your other sales channels.
When enabled:
- Nembol monitors your Etsy listings for content changes
- Detected updates are imported into Nembol
- Nembol can then send those updates to other channels enabled under Push updates to channels.
Please note that Etsy doesn’t notify Nembol in real time. Because of this limitation, changes made on Etsy may take up to 10 minutes to appear in Nembol.
How to enable it
- Open the Channels tab
- Select Sync settings for Etsy
- Locate the Pull content from a channel section
- Enable Etsy as a content source
- Go to Push updates to channels
- Choose which channels should receive content updates coming from Etsy
- Make a change to a test listing on Etsy
- Save the listing.
After Nembol detects the update, the modified content will be imported and shared with the selected channels.
Before enabling this workflow for your entire catalog, we recommend testing it with a few products to confirm it matches your process.
Import updates from Etsy
Optionally, if you’re used to the Etsy interface, you can also edit products directly in Etsy and manually import those changes into Nembol whenever you need them to be reflected immediately, without waiting for Etsy’s automatic notifications.
After importing, Nembol can distribute the updates to other connected channels.
How to use it:
- Open the Channels tab
- Click on Etsy
- Open Import settings
- Turn “Import updates” ON
- Go to Sync settings
- Scroll to Push updates to channels
- Select which channels should receive Etsy updates
- Go into your Etsy backend, and edit one or two products
- Once done, go back to Channels tab in Nembol and click “Import from channel” button. Select Etsy and click “Import”
- Nembol will import the Etsy changes and distribute them to channels opted-in for “Push updates to channels”
Import updates from Google Merchant Center
If you are comfortable working directly inside Google Merchant Center, you can update your product data there and then manually bring those changes into Nembol whenever you need them to be reflected without delay.
After importing, Nembol can distribute the updated information to your other connected channels.
How to use it:
- Open the Channels tab
- Click on Google Merchant Center
- Open Import settings
- Enable Import updates
- Go to Sync settings
- Scroll to Push updates to channels
- Select which channels should receive Google Merchant Center updates
- Make changes to one or more products in your Google Merchant Center account.

- Select Google Merchant Center and click Import.
Nembol will import the updated product data from Google Merchant Center and distribute it to the channels enabled under Push updates to channels.
