Push updates to channels

Nembol allows you to centrally manage and update your product content across connected channels.

With Push updates to channels enabled, changes made in Nembol are automatically sent to selected channels.

You can update:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Images
  • Variant images (according to each channel’s rules)
  • Price
  • SKU code
  • GTIN code (UPC, EAN, ISBN, ASIN, etc.)
  • Tags
  • Variations
  • Weight and dimensions

Exception: Product quantity is handled separately through Stock Sync settings.

Limitations

Due to differences in sales channel APIs and their own catalog rules, some channels have specific limitations when receiving updates from Nembol.

Below are the known limitations of the “Push updates to channels” feature:

Etsy content updates

If “Push updates to channels” is disabled for Etsy, some fields will still be updated from Nembol. Specifically, quantity, price and SKU will continue to sync with Etsy. This behavior applies only to Etsy.

Etsy variations

Etsy has limitations on modifying product variation structures:

  • You can add variations to Etsy products from Nembol.
  • You cannot reduce a variation structure beyond Etsy’s allowed limits.
  • For example, a product with 5 variations cannot be changed into a single-variation product or have variations removed completely.
  • Variations can only be reduced down to a minimum of 2. If you reduce variations beyond this limit, the product will go into error. Please create or modify variations directly on Etsy, then re-import or relink the product in Nembol.

For major variation changes, update the product directly in Etsy, then re-import or relink the product in Nembol.

Amazon content updates

Amazon applies strict catalog rules and validates all product updates. Changes sent from Nembol are subject to Amazon’s approval process and catalog policies.

Within Amazon’s limitations, you can update supported fields through Nembol, including:

  • Title
  • Description (when you are the content owner)
  • Price
  • Quantity

Amazon may accept, modify, or reject updates depending on its catalog requirements.

Nembol allows you to receive product content updates from a selected sales channel and automatically distribute those changes to your other connected channels.

This feature is useful if your team prefers managing product information directly in the backend of a specific sales channel. Simply choose one connected channel as the source of truth for your product catalog, make your edits there, and let Nembol sync the updates to your selected channels.

Supported product content updates include:

  • Title
  • Description

  • Category
  • Weight & Dimension
  • Please note: Stock quantity is not included in product content synchronization. Inventory updates are managed separately through Stock Sync settings.

Using Shopify as your content source is optional for Nembol users. We recommend enabling it only if you want Shopify to act as your main product management hub.

Use Google Merchant as your content source

If you are comfortable working directly inside Google Merchant Center, you can update your product data there and then manually bring those changes into Nembol whenever you need them to be reflected without delay.
