Product requirements before publishing
To publish to OnBuy via Nembol, three requirements must be satisfied:
1. Valid barcode (GTIN required)
OnBuy requires one of:
- EAN-13
- UPC-12
- ISBN-10
Nembol validates barcode structure before sending it to OnBuy.
Invalid barcodes will return an error.
2. Category assignment
- Nembol auto-suggests the best OnBuy category using AI mapping across ~6,500 categories
- Sellers can manually override the suggestion anytime
3. Delivery template
- OnBuy requires a delivery template for every product
- Nembol automatically assigns the seller’s default template
- If none exists, please create your delivery template inside OnBuy, then assign it in Nembol
To create a delivery template in OnBuy, go to Home → Settings → Delivery Settings. Click “Add Template”, enter a name for the template, and save it. Once created, the delivery template will appear in Nembol under your OnBuy Publish Settings. You can assign it to your listings in bulk.

- Platinum (refurbished)

- Silver (refurbished)

Catalogue model behavior
OnBuy works as a shared catalogue system:
- If a barcode already exists, your product is added to the existing listing
- No duplicate catalogue entries are created
Weight and dimensions
OnBuy treats product information differently depending on whether it belongs to the seller offer or to the shared product catalogue.
- Weight is part of your seller offer, so it is always synced from Nembol to OnBuy together with your price and stock.
- Dimensions, instead, belong to OnBuy’s shared product catalogue. When your product matches an existing catalogue entry, OnBuy keeps the dimensions already stored in that catalogue record and does not allow them to be overwritten.
- Dimensions are only sent when a brand-new catalogue entry is created for your product.
Listing approval delay
- New catalogue entries may take a few minutes to appear
- First-time listings can take longer due to OnBuy review process
- Subsequent updates are faster
Possible listing suspension
OnBuy may suspend listings if:
- Catalogue entry is not approved within ~72 hours
- Product violates catalogue rules
Important:
- Suspended listings cannot be edited via API
- Sellers must either:
- Unsuspend directly in OnBuy
- Change barcode/MPN to force a new catalogue entry
Nembol shows clear, actionable error messages when this happens.
