How to connect Shopify to Nembol (video)
- Log in to Nembol and open the Channels Tab
- Click on the “Connect channels +” button top left, and a list of available channels will appear
- Find Shopify, and click on it
- You will now be asked to type your store name. You can find your store name in the Shopify Admin address bar. It’s the text after ‘store’. See the screenshot down below
- Nembol will take you to your Shopify account. Please log in using your Shopify credentials
- The login procedure is successful when you are taken back to Nembol and the Shopify settings show up
Now let’s set the Shopify settings inside Nembol according to your needs.
Screenshot 1: Here you can find your Shopify admin URL and your store name
Nembol currently does not fully support Shopify locations. If you connect Nembol to a Shopify store with multiple locations, products which have at least one variation stored in more than one location will be prevented from syncing their inventory, and a warning will be displayed. Your correct inventory at all locations will be preserved.
Common settings setup: Shopify
In Nembol you can find settings which are common to all channels, called Common settings, and the settings which are specific channel by channel.
Sync stock from a channel
When a order is received
Select Shopify if you want inventory levels to be updated in Nembol whenever a new order is placed on Shopify. Every sale made on Shopify is automatically sent to Nembol and triggers a stock sync, which is then applied across all your connected sales channels.
Deselect it if you don’t want Shopify orders to update stock quantities in Nembol
When stock is edited
Enable this option if you want Shopify to sync stock changes back to Nembol whenever product quantities are updated on the channel, including updates made automatically by third-party apps.
Push updates to channels
Select Shopify if you want to manage your Shopify listings directly from Nembol.
When this option is enabled, any changes made in Nembol — including title, tags, images, description, stock quantity, or price — will automatically sync to the related Shopify listings when you save your updates.
Deselect it if you prefer not to have Nembol modify your Shopify listings.
Syncing Nembol with Shopify POS
If you are using a POS app connected to Shopify, we recommend turning ON “Update products from a channel” for Shopify and turning OFF “Sync stock from a channel” for Shopify only. This way, your POS app will handle stock updates, while Nembol will simply receive changes from your Shopify back-end and sync them across your connected channels.
You won’t see POS orders in Nembol, but stock management will remain accurate.
Please note: if you change your POS app or its settings, you may need to adjust this configuration.
Pull content from a channel
If you want to apply the edits made on Shopify to other channels, and bulk edit Shopify products directly on your Shopify backend, all you need to do is:
- Access to Nembol Channels Tab
- Click on the “Common settings”
- In the “Pull content from a channel” setting, choose Shopify (currently works also with WooCommerce)
- Choose which channels you want to update and select them on the “Push updates to channels” setting.
With this setup, changes made in Shopify will be automatically imported into Nembol and shared across channels in seconds or minutes.
If you want to exclude some channel’s content from being updated and keep content independent there, just do not add the channel in the “Push updates to channels” setting.
Limitations
1. Shopify variations
The “Pull content from Shopify” feature does not sync variation structure changes. If you rename or delete a variation in Shopify, those changes are not imported into Nembol.
Recommendation: If you need to add, remove, or rename variations, make the changes in Nembol with “Push updates to channels” for Shopify enabled. Otherwise, the next sync may restore the original variation structure in Shopify.
2. Shopify images
The “Pull content from Shopify” feature does not import image changes. If you add, replace, or delete product images in Shopify, those changes are not synchronized to Nembol.
Recommendation: To keep images synchronized across your sales channels, edit product images in Nembol with “Push updates to channels” enabled. Otherwise, the next sync may restore the previous images in Shopify.
Transfer orders to Shopify for fulfillment
Shopify can act as the main hub for managing your multichannel orders.
Using Nembol’s Transfer Orders for Fulfillment feature, orders received from connected marketplaces and stores — including Amazon, eBay, Etsy, TikTok Shop, and other supported channels — can be automatically sent to your Shopify admin, allowing you to handle fulfillment from a single centralized workflow.
How Orders Are Transferred to Shopify
Nembol creates one Shopify order for each order received from a connected sales channel. If a customer purchases multiple products in the same order, Nembol transfers them as a single Shopify order containing all corresponding line items.
The transferred Shopify order includes:
- Product line items
- Quantities
- Shipping costs
- Taxes
- Discounts
- Tracking information (when available)
Product prices:
Nembol uses the prices from the original sales channel. Even when a product is matched to an existing Shopify product or variant, the order will keep the price from the originating channel to ensure that order totals match exactly.
Products not available in Shopify:
Orders can still be transferred even if the product does not exist in your Shopify catalog. In this case, Nembol creates the order line as a custom item using the product title and SKU from the original channel.
Important limitation: An order can only be transferred to Shopify if all products included in the order exist in Nembol. If an order contains a product that is not present or not tracked in Nembol, the order will not be transferred.
To enable Transfer Orders to Shopify
- Open the Channels tab in Nembol.
- Click Common Settings.
- Click on pen icon and select Shopify in “Transfer Orders for Fulfillment” setting.
- Enable “Sync stock from a channel” on each channel you want orders to be imported.

Price Rules
Before listing your products on Shopify, make sure to adjust the following settings according to your needs and objectives:
- Choose your Pricing rules for Shopify in the Price rules setting if you wish to automatically adjust your prices by percentage, or fixed amount. Otherwise, don’t set a pricing rule for Shopify
- Choose whether to use the automatic rounding
Once done, try listing your products on Shopify!
Please always proceed gradually, test with one or more products first, maybe picking them per type: one with variations, one without, one with pictures of a format or provenance, another with pictures of a different format or provenance.
Once you’re done with testing, and results are according to your needs, proceed in bulk.
How to select Shopify collection before publishing
Here, you can select in which of your Shopify collections you wish your products to be published at the next publishing action.
You should choose “No collection”, if you use Shopify Automated collections, and you want your products automatically assigned to collections inside your Shopify account based on the rules you have set there, or you will set there.
As of Jun 8 2023, Shopify policies do not allow listing products from a Shopify store to another Shopify store. However, you can still connect your listings, and sync them.
Import from Shopify
If you are starting from Shopify, and wish to import your listings into Nembol, adjust your settings first.
- Filter your product by Product Status
- Select Collection
- Choose if to import descriptions in HTML format, or not
- Filter by total quantity in stock
Once done, you can run your first import.
Those settings can be changed if you wish to import more products with different settings.
