The following steps will help you to connect your eBay store to Nembol.

  1. Login to Nembol, then open the Channels Tab
  2. Click on the “Connect channels +” top left. Here you can find the list of available channels
  3. Find eBay, and click on it
  4. The system will automatically open an eBay authorization page. Don’t worry if you don’t see your eBay Locale right away: eBay login is centralized for all Locales
  5. Please sign in using your eBay name and password. No worries, no one will have access to your information
  6. eBay will ask you to grant authorization to Nembol to operate on eBay on your behalf. Click “Agree
  7. After a few seconds, the system will bring you back to Nembol

At the moment you can connect, and manage, up to 10 eBay accounts at the same time in Nembol with the Enterprise+ Plan, 2 with the Pro Pan, and 4 with the Enterprise plan.

Supported Locales and Limitations

Nembol supports eBay across all available eBay locales. Due to the complexity and variety of eBay’s marketplace ecosystem, some exceptions and limitations may apply.

If you notice any unexpected behavior with a specific eBay marketplace or category, please let us know.

Known limitations

  • Nembol currently imports only active eBay listings. This applies to all Nembol plans.
  • Nembol does not currently offer full support for eBay Motors. We recommend testing your specific eBay Motors category to confirm compatibility before using it in production.
  • eBay Item specifics have been supported since April 2025, but this feature is available starting from the Nembol’s Enterprise plan. On the Basic and Pro plans, item specifics are imported from eBay but cannot be edited in Nembol. Any changes made directly on eBay will not be overwritten by Nembol. On the Enterprise plan, item specifics can be managed both individually and in bulk.

Common settings setup

In Nembol you can find settings which are common to all channels, called Common Settingsand the settings which are specific channel by channel.

To manage Common Settings:

  1. Go to the Channels tab
  2. Click on the Common Settings button
  3. Here, you choose what you want to update on which channels, and how

Sync stock from a channel

When an order is received

Select eBay if you want orders received on eBay to automatically adjust inventory levels in Nembol. Whenever an item is sold on eBay, the order data is transmitted to Nembol, which updates the available quantity and synchronizes the new stock level across your connected channels.

Unselect it if you don’t want eBay orders to trigger stock updates in Nembol.

When stock is edited

Choose whether eBay should update Nembol stock whenever the quantity changes on the channel, including stock adjustments performed automatically by third-party tools or integrations.

Push updates to channels

Select eBay if you want to edit your eBay listings from Nembol and automatically apply those changes to your eBay listings.

With this setting enabled, any supported product updates you make in Nembol—such as changes to the title, description, tags, or images—will be pushed to the corresponding eBay listings.

Unselect eBay if you do not want changes made in Nembol to update your eBay listings.

Please note: Nembol does not support the full range of HTML commands available in eBay descriptions. Some HTML elements may be removed or modified by Nembol or by the connected sales channel.

If you use advanced HTML formatting in your eBay descriptions, we recommend keeping the “Push updates to channels” function OFF for eBay. This helps prevent unintended bulk changes to your eBay descriptions.

Pull content from a channel

If you select eBay in this setting, edits made directly on eBay will be imported and reflected in Nembol.

To enable this function:

  1. Open the Channels Tab in Nembol
  2. Click Common settings
  3. Scroll down and enable “Pull content from a channel” for eBay.

Note: eBay doesn't notify Nembol in real time. As a result, edits made on eBay can take up to 10 minutes to appear in Nembol and be distributed to other channels.

Inventory Control

The Inventory Control feature helps you manage eBay selling limits by setting a maximum quantity that can be published for each SKU.

For example, if you set the inventory cap to 5, Nembol will publish a maximum of 5 units per SKU on eBay, even if your actual warehouse inventory contains 300 units.

When the available stock falls below the set limit, Nembol will automatically update the published quantity to reflect the actual available stock—no manual action is required.

Please note:  The Sync Stock feature continues to work normally even when Inventory Control is enabled.

eBay-Specific Channel Settings Setup

Publish to eBay

In the Publish section, you can define how you want your products to be listed on eBay from Nembol. A careful setup of these settings is essential, as eBay requires all of these fields to create a listing.

To manage eBay publishing settings:

  1. Go to the Channels tab
  2. Find eBay in the list of channels to which your shop has already been connected previously.
  3. Click Publish settings

In the Listings details section, you need to:

    • Select the Listing type – pick between “Buy it now” and “Auction”
    • Define a Product Condition – between “New”, “Used”, and others
    • Set an Auction Duration – pick between “7 days” and “Max possible”
    • Turn Out of stock “ON” or “OFF”. Out of stock “ON” will preserve your eBay listing ID also if your item goes out-of-stock, maybe due to sales on other channel. This way, when the item becomes again available, your eBay listing will turn on again, and be connected with Nembol and other channels
    • Add a VAT rate – European eBays, and some other eBay Locales, require sellers to define the VAT rate to be applied to each of their products. With Nembol you can do this by product one by one, or in bulk using the VAT rate field here. This field provides a default VAT rate to your account as a whole. Product-specific VAT rates typed in each product will overwrite this default

In the Appearance section, you can:

    • Automatically Shorten titles – this function will cut your title length if it exceeds what accepted by eBay, so that your listings will not be blocked nor sent in error
    • Insert a Title Prefix – This enables sellers to add a same string of text or numbers at the beginning of all their eBay titles. It is ideal for branded sellers, which must add the product brand inside their eBay titles, but not inside their Shopify or WooCommerce titles.

In the Location section, you can:

    • Choose eBay site – Here you can choose what eBay local site you wish to list your products
    • Choose Item Location – Here you can select where is your item located
    • Insert a Postal code – Write the postal code of your eBay local site. It must be coherent with your Seller addresses and Item Location.

Please note: eBay is very strict about protecting buyers (and your customers) by requiring sellers to provide a declared item location, along with shipping and return policies that are consistent with the declared postal code.

These requirements are designed to prevent fraudulent activity and protect marketplace trust. If you encounter issues during setup, please review your location, shipping, and return settings carefully. Be patient—once configured correctly, your listings will be ready to publish.

In the Business policies section, you can select and assign:

  • Payment policy
  • Return policy
  • Shipping policy

Please note: All policies must be created in eBay first and then selected in Nembol.

If you use Calculated Shipping, make sure to enter your correct Postal Code in your eBay settings, as it is required for shipping calculations.

How to publish in a specific eBay category

Nembol will list your products in one eBay category, taking advantage of eBay automated categorizer.

This system works by using, per each of your products, the keywords contained in its Category field in Nembol, and automatically assigns each product to the most relevant eBay category. If a product’s Category field happens to be empty, Nembol will use its title instead.

If you find that your products are categorized wrongly in eBay, check what you typed in the Category field or, if empty, consider filling it or otherwise reviewing product titles to make so that an Artificial Intelligence can guess in what category the product belongs.

Manage variations images on eBay

Nembol supports picture-to-variation assignments on eBay. Images are associated with a single variation attribute, typically Color, meaning all variations sharing the same value for that attribute will display the same set of pictures. Nembol automatically identifies the most suitable variation attribute and formats the image assignments according to eBay requirements before publishing.

To assign pictures to variations in Nembol:

  1. Open the Products tab
  2. Click on the product and select Edit
  3. Scroll down to the Variants section
  4. Choose the variation you want to update and upload its image(s)
  5. Repeat the process for each variation, then click Save & Update.

When publishing to eBay, Nembol automatically groups images by the selected variation attribute and assigns them to the relevant variations. eBay supports up to 12 images per variation value, and these images do not need to be included in the main product gallery.

Make sure Push updates to channels is enabled if you want the changes made in Nembol to sync automatically with eBay.

Import from eBay (video)

To manage eBay Import settings:

  1. Go to the Channels tab in Nembol
  2. Find eBay among your connected channels.
  3. Click Import settings.

In the Import section, you can choose which eBay listings you want to import into Nembol.

Starting from the Pro Plan, you can use import filters to control which eBay products are imported. You can filter products by:

  1. Listing format — Import all listings, only Buy It Now listings, or only Auction listings.
  2. eBay site/location — Choose the eBay marketplace from which you want to import listings.
  3. Stock quantity — Import products based on their available inventory. You can filter products with a quantity greater than, less than, or equal to a specific value.

These filters are especially useful for sellers who manage different products or pricing strategies across multiple eBay marketplaces.

You can also choose whether to keep eBay HTML formatting when importing product descriptions.

When the HTML description option is enabled, Nembol imports the HTML content and preserves it when transferring the product to other supported channels.

Please note: Other sales channels do not support the full range of HTML formatting allowed by eBay. If you expand from eBay to multiple channels, some HTML elements may be removed or modified during transfer.

We recommend testing with a single listing before importing or publishing hundreds of products. For example, Etsy does not support HTML in descriptions, Amazon supports limited formatting, and Shopify supports fewer HTML elements than eBay.

You may need to simplify your eBay templates to ensure consistent product descriptions across all channels.

eBay Offers and stock synchronization limitations

If your eBay listings with pending offers are not updating their stock quantity, this is due to an eBay restriction: eBay does not allow changes to certain listing details while an offer is active.

This applies not only to eBay Auctions, but also to Buy It Now listings with offers enabled.

Example scenario:

You have the same product listed on eBay and Etsy, and you allow offers on your eBay listing.

  • A buyer sends an offer on eBay.
-> The stock quantity in Nembol does not change, and the quantity on Etsy remains unchanged. This is expected behavior.
  • The same product is then purchased on Etsy.
-> Nembol updates the inventory quantity, but eBay cannot receive the stock update because there is still a pending offer on the listing.
  • If you later accept the eBay offer without checking inventory, the product could potentially be sold twice.

Recommended solution

Before accepting eBay offers, always check that the product is still available across your other sales channels.

To avoid this situation, you can enable automatic offer acceptance on eBay. Set the Minimum Offer and Auto-Accept Offer values to the same amount, as shown in the screenshot below. This allows offers to be processed automatically and prevents pending offers from blocking inventory updates.
